Accessibility Statement
Now, Me! works to keep this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is central to what we do, and we treat it as a commitment rather than a checkbox.
What we have done
- The site was built to the principles of Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
- The entire site can be navigated by keyboard alone, and every interactive element shows a clear focus indicator.
- A “skip to content” link appears at the top of every page.
- Every non-decorative image has alternative text.
- Text and background contrast ratios were measured and meet the standard.
- Headings and page landmarks are semantic, so screen readers can navigate the structure.
- Touch targets on mobile are at least 44 pixels.
- The site respects the operating system’s reduce-motion setting, and all animation stops for anyone who has enabled it.
- The site works on desktop, tablet, and mobile, and supports browser text zoom.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some elements may not yet be fully accessible:
- Some partner logos are brand images whose text cannot be read by a screen reader. Each partner’s name appears as text below the logo.
- The program registration form and the donation page are hosted on the websites of the IDF Disabled Veterans Organization and its Friends Association. They are outside our control, and their accessibility is the responsibility of those operators. Both are in Hebrew.
- The site has not yet undergone a formal accessibility audit by a certified accessibility consultant.
